NASHVILLE, TN— Effective immediately, industry veteran Phil Sillas has joined Maximum Artist Group, LLC as a manager and product developer concentrating on the Latin Christian market, with a focus on the worship music area. He will discontinue his TSG Artist Management agency, bringing with him the Dove Award-nominated sister-duo, Genessis & Nikki. The announcement was made by Mitchell Solarek, president and founder of Maximum.

Sillas’s career spans over 32 years in the music industry with stints at major companies including Warner-Chappell Music, Word Music, and Worship Leader magazine, among others, along with his own TSG Records and TSG Management.

“We have been watching what is happening in Latin music, specifically in the faith-based space, and have been eager to be a part of the explosive growth,” says Solarek. “Now that we have someone on our team with Phil’s background and depth of experience, we are excited to say we are officially in. Phil has been a significant catalyst in that area over many years. He has a great eye for talent and knows how to create music that impacts audiences worldwide. Having him join us at this time in our industry positions us to help facilitate great growth for Latin Christian artists and their music for many years to come.”

Sillas is based in San Luis Obispo, CA and will work through Maximum’s newly established west coast office in Los Angeles.

Genessis and Nikki Holguin grew up in the Spanish churches of Southern California and have been singing and leading worship all their lives. In addition to their service in the church, the past few years have found them in the studio and on network television singing for the Grammy’s®, American Idol, The X Factor, Americas Got Talent. They have shared the stage with greats including Stevie Wonder, Nick Jonas, and Kim Burrell, just to name a few. Earlier this year, they released their debut EP release, featuring their bilingual version of the worship classic, “Holy Spirit”. Their blend of Gospel, R&B, Pop, and Latin music reflects the diversity of today’s culture found in the churches and the cities of Southern California. Together they are worship leaders, singer-songwriters, and performers; but first and foremost, they are sisters. Their goal is to be a bold, multicultural voice to their generation that travels the world and writes songs to empower people.

Riley Clemmons Premieres 'Hold On' Music Video, And Reminds Us To Keep Reaching To Achieve Our Dreams

"I believe that there is always a reason to hold on."

We all just need a little musical pick-me-up from time to time, and Riley Clemmons delivers exactly that. The 18-year-old singer's song "Hold On" is an anthem of encouragement reminding us that "the victory is worth all the struggle."

The Ezra Cohen-directed music video for "Hold On," which Clemmons debuts here on A Plus, shows the Nashville native grooving (and running) to the tune in a setting that is often colorful and neon but is also sometimes stormy. It's a simple setup, but it all works and conveys the message superbly.

"I think it's fascinating and beautiful that we often find our greatest strength in our weakest moments," Clemmons told A Plus. "'Hold On' is something that I tell myself when it seems impossible to find the light, and it's what I want every listener to remember on their hardest day. Everyone has something within them that's worth fighting for. Whatever you're walking through right now, no matter how impossible and challenging it seems, it's worth it to keep holding on."

Clemmons said that she was at a personal low in her own life when writing the song, and that "it took a lot of falling down and getting up again." It was this kind of perseverance that she said helped her become more comfortable with her own imperfections and vulnerabilities and she saw things through a new perspective.

"For me, perseverance is being able to hold on to that hope even when I feel like I have every reason not to: being able to dance through the fire," Clemmons added. It's overcoming anxiety, noise, and fear — the things that often keep you from achieving your dream — that is most important.

"I constantly have to remind myself that perfection isn't the goal. I find a lot of motivation rooted in the idea that I'm a work in progress, and that's OK. In the hard moments, I try to pause and ask myself why I wanted to chase this dream in the first place," Clemmons concluded. "I believe that there's light at the end of the tunnel. I believe that there is always a reason to hold on."

Grant receives pathology report following her October 10th surgery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 16, 2017) – Multi-GRAMMY® nominated and award-winning artist Natalie Grant has received positive news from her medical team following thyroid surgery on October 10th.

Grant underwent surgery last week to remove half of her thyroid after two tumors were found in an ultrasound.  The results of the surgery and pathology report revealed papillary thyroid cancer in two nodules in the right lobe of the thyroid.  The pathology report showed that the cancer was fully encapsulated in the nodules and had not traveled any further into the surrounding tissue or neighboring lymph nodes. Her surgeon stated that by removing the right side of the thyroid, they removed all traces of cancer and no further treatment will be necessary.

Dr. James Netterville, Director of Head and Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, performed the surgery. He used laryngeal nerve monitoring during the procedure and was able to use electric stimulation of the vocal chords and nerves that control the upper range of the voice. He was happy to report that everything is functioning properly and there was no long term vocal damage caused by the surgery.  After several weeks of vocal rest and therapy, Grant should have a full recovery.

Natalie Grant states, “My heart is overflowing with gratitude in every way. I’m forever grateful to Dr. Netterville and the entire medical team at Vanderbilt for the world-class care I received. I am humbled by the outpouring of support from around the world, which has strengthened my faith in more ways than I can express. God is so good. He was good before surgery, and He is good after.  His goodness was never dependent on my outcome.  I’m just grateful I’ll have many more years to sing about Him.”

KB, Seth & Nirva, Branan Murphy, D.A. Horton Now Repped as Maximum Artist Clients

Sam Fisher.jpeg

Nashville, TN (August 15, 2016) — Effective today, Sam Fisher, co-founder and principal of Paravel Management, LLC, has joined Maximum Artist Management as Artist Manager. Fisher brings with him a roster of fast-rising artists, including award-winning hip-hop artist KB, urban/pop artist Branan Murphy (Provident/Sony), duo Seth & Nirva (Integrity Music), plus author-speaker D.A. Horton (NavPress). The announcement was made by Maximum Artist founder and president, Mitchell Solarek.

According to Solarek, in addition to mutual and complementary philosophies and goals, it was Fisher’s experience (in management, marketing, and distribution), leadership, ‘make it happen’ attitude, and his extensive network (across touring, promotion, music licensing, and with the ability to connect with top executives across multiple genres in Los Angeles, Nashville, and New York) that really stood out.

“We had been talking internally for a while about how Maximum wants to be investing not only in artist development, but also executive talent development,” says Solarek. “Sam is remarkably skilled and positioned to help grow Maximum into a strong leader in musical areas we are not currently involved. We are thrilled and extremely fortunate to have him on our team.”

Fisher’s executive experience includes multi-year stints with global distributor Redeye Worldwide, indie label Yep Roc Music Group, and the launch of his own event management and promotion company, Lucas Gambit. In 2014, Fisher co-founded Paravel Management, LLC, a music management company based in Nashville with satellite offices in Los Angeles and North Carolina. Under the new deal with Maximum, Fisher will retain key-man status with the roster he currently manages.

States Dennis Disney, Vice President of Maximum Artist Management, “After more than three months of conversations with Sam, getting a real sense of both the manager and the man—and Sam getting to know our leadership team and what drives us—we all realized this would be a fantastic partnership.”

“The feeling is mutual,” says Fisher. “This partnership began organically with Mitchell and I working on a project together and it grew from there. I believe, wholeheartedly, that Maximum is the right next step for me, and I believe that collectively our clients will benefit greatly from this partnership.”

Immediately, Fisher brings to Maximum a client roster of signed artists and an author. Over the past couple of years, KB (Reach Records) has become a force in faith-based hip-hop with over 150 thousand albums sold and over 33 million streams to date. His “Tempo” tour begins September 7 with special guests Blanca, Maximum Artist client Tauren Wells, and Joseph Solomon. Integrity Music’s Seth & Nirva are moving up radio charts with their debut single “Brother (Open Up Our Eyes)” featuring Gabe Real (from their debut album Never Alone), while Branan Murphy is preparing to release his debut single for Provident/Sony. In March of this year, author/speaker D.A. Horton released his third book (but first for NavPress), Bound to Be Free.
